A Modesto teenager’s decision to flee from Ceres Police early Tuesday, Oct. 15 instead of merely accepting a ticket for vehicle code violations ended with a damaged car and a charge of evading police in a vehicle.

At 12:56 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Angel Murillo was on patrol in the area of Bystrum Road and Latimer Avenue when he attempted to stop Touma Davodoff, 18, of Modesto, who was driving a white-colored Mercedes CLK320 and made illegal actions. When the officer tried to pull over Davodoff, he fled and a pursuit was initiated. The chase ended when Davodoff crashed into a fence near Bystrum and River roads.

With the assistance of Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies, Davodoff was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
