A 21-year-old who had alcohol in his system that was nearly three times the legal limit to drive was arrested early Sunday morning after crashing into another car.
At 1:46 a.m., Officer Samuel Garcia responded to the area of Herndon Road and Holm Avenue to investigate a traffic collision. He spoke to one of the involved drivers, Saul Martinez, 21, of Modesto who showed signs of being intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. Martinez was given field sobriety tests which demonstrated he was under the influence. He was arrested and later submitted the breath sample that clinched the officer’s assessment.
