An 18-year-old Hayward man was arrested early Saturday after leading Ceres Police on a high-speed chase that went 58 miles and ended in Livermore.
At 3:03 a.m. Ceres officers located two occupied stolen vehicles traveling in tandem through Ceres, westbound Whitmore Avenue at Rose Avenue.
The vehicles were described as a 2017 Cadillac CTS-V and a Dodge Charger. Drivers worked together as they merged onto northbound Highway 99 and attempted to flee from officers at speeds over 120 mph.
The driver of the Dodge Charger was interfering with this pursuit by maneuvering his vehicle in between the officers and the Cadillac.
With the assistance of California Highway Patrol officers from the Stockton division, officers eventually overtook the stolen Cadillac in Livermore.
Arrested was Angelo Lucero, 18, of Hayward who had several key fobs in his possession.
The stolen Dodge Charger was later located but the driver was nowhere to be found.
The pursuit, which went across three counties, netted Lucero several felony charges including evading police, vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.
