Police arrested a Modesto man who was asleep in the driver’s seat of his car Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 2 who was wanted for multiple warrants.

A citizen called police dispatch at 4:34 p.m. who believed that the driver, Jose Martine Trevino, 32, of Modesto, was intoxicated in his car parked in the Walmart parking lot. Officer Aaron Pinon found the silver-colored Ford Escape and ran a warrant check on Trevino who proved to be on active parole with a felony no-bail warrant issued by the California Department of Corrections, a felony warrant issued by the Modesto Police Department, and a felony warrant issued by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department. Trevino was later booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
