A Sunday afternoon report of a trespasser in the backyard of a home in the 1700 block of Norwood Heights Lane ended with a suspect being arrested for possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

Arrested was Bernardo Manuel Rochel, 36, of Ceres.

Officer Faure responded to the 3:19 p.m. call and found Rochel, who was also holding a small baggie of suspected narcotics in his hand.
