A Ceres man accused of striking a family member with a bar stool during a July 1 altercation and causing injury was arrested July 31.

On Monday evening, July 31 Ceres Police officers were looking for at-large assault suspect Willie Garcia III, 37, of Ceres, in the area of Hatch and Mitchell roads. Police stopped a pickup which they believed to be carrying Garcia. The suspect was found lying down in the bed of the pickup. He was arrested on felony assault.
