A Monday evening encounter between Ceres Police Officer Kevin Roseen and 42-year-old Modesto bicyclist Brian Becerra ended with a trip to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.

Officer Roseen was on patrol at 9:57 p.m. in the area of S. Ninth Street and Latimer Avenue when he stopped Becerra for bicycle code violations. A records check revealed two felony warrants for his arrest which were for vehicle theft, grand theft and possession of stolen property.

Becerra was arrested and booked.
