A 47-year-old Ceres man riding a bicycle was jailed Friday evening due to multiple warrants for his arrest.

Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the area of Kinser and Blaker roads at approximately 7:49 p.m. when he initiated a traffic stop on Brandon Wells who attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. A records check revealed that Wells had multiple felony warrants for his arrest. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
