A stolen car and motorcycle were recovered at a house in the 900 block of Herndon Avenue on Saturday afternoon after Officer Brian Albonetti saw a stolen vehicle leaving a home with three occupants and then suddenly pull back into the driveway after he made a U-turn.
During the 12:26 p.m. arrest, the driver, Margarito Rojo, 32, of Modesto, bolted into the house while leaving his two passengers behind to be held at gunpoint. Other officers and a sergeant arrived. Police were allowed to enter the house were they apprehended Rojo and arrested him on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.
The other two were released.
A search of the property turned up a stolen motorcycle in the backyard.
