Police arrested a Ceres man the day after he allegedly pulled a gun on a man during a civil dispute and threatening to shoot him Friday afternoon.
At 1:30 p.m., officers were alerted to reports of a man brandishing of a handgun in the 3600 block of Southern Oak Drive. The victims reported that they were renting a room from Gabriel Devine, 37, of Ceres, and that he pointed a loaded handgun at them during a heated disagreement about rent and living arrangements. Devine allegedly pointed the gun at the victims and demanded that they leave or be shot.
Devine left the scene before officers arrived and could not be found. However, the next day Devine was spotted driving on Silver Oak Drive. A vehicle stop was initiated and Devine was detained along with a loaded stolen 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Devine was arrested on charges of making criminal threats, carrying a loaded stolen firearm and brandishing a firearm.
