Jimmie Wheeler Jr., 36, of Ceres, was arrested Wednesday evening, Oct. 16, for an outstanding felony arrest warrant.

Officer Nick Welsh was patrolling the area of Hatch Road and Richland Avenue at 10:17 p.m. when he recognized Wheeler as he was in the parking lot of the AM/PM at 1700 Hatch Road. Welsh was aware of the warrant and stopped Wheeler as he peddled away on a bicycle. Officer Welsh took Wheeler to the county jail where he was booked.
