A 45-year-old Ceres man riding a Suzuki motorcycle was arrested Nov. 21 after he led a Ceres Police officer on a high-speed chase and was found carrying a large concealed knife.

The chase began at 7:10 p.m., when Officer Eric Souza attempted to pull over Sean Robertson for speeding in the area of Service and Mitchell roads.

Officer Souza caught up to Robertson and attempted to stop him in the area of Moffett and Collins roads but the rider failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit went through several nearby residential streets before Robertson had mechanical issues with motorcycle and had to stop in the 2400 block of Laurel Avenue.

During a pat-down search, Officer Souza located a concealed 10-inch knife under Robinson’s clothing. He was arrested for evading officers in a vehicle and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger.
