Police are hoping the citizens can provide information leading to the arrest of the man who robbed Discount Cigarettes, 1530 E. Hatch Road, on Tuesday morning, Oct. 27.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jason Coley said that a man walked into the store at 10:43 a.m. and demanded that the clerk get on the ground. He walked behind the counter and helped himself to $600 in cash and several carton of cigarettes. He left the store and possibly got into a black SUV but police are unsure.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult with red hair, standing about 5-foot-9, and weighing approximately 200 pounds.
