Concealed gun found in traffic stop, passenger jailed on warrant

A concealed handgun was discovered by a Ceres Police officer during a Friday evening traffic stop made for vehicle code violations, leading to the arrest of a Richmond man who was driving.

Police also arrested his passenger for warrants.

Ceres Police Officer Tyler Wilson was on patrol in the 1300 block of E. Hatch Road at around 8:53 p.m., when he saw the Perrione Pearson, 25 of Richmond, commit an illegal move in a white BMW. Officer Wilson stopped Pearson and found the gun in a search of the car. Perrione was arrested and booked into the county jail for possession of a concealed firearm in a public place.

Passenger Anhelica Lomax, 22, of Modesto, was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest.
