A Michigan man, whose blood alcohol content was over three times the legal limit to drive, was removed from a Ceres road on Monday evening and booked into the local jail.

At 11:05 p.m. Ceres Police Officer Freddie Ortiz was patrolling the area of Hatch Road and Richland Avenue when he stopped the driver of a silver-colored Chevrolet Silverado for vehicle code violations. Officer Ortiz noticed that driver August Cramer, 33, of Michigan, appeared to be intoxicated. Cramer was given field sobriety tests, which was evidence he was under the influence of alcohol.

Cramer was arrested for DUI and later submitted a breath sample that was three times the legal limit. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
