Failure to have a headlight on a bike last week drew police attention to a 38-year-old bicyclist on probation and to the subsequent discovery of illegal drug possession.
At 2:31 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 an officer saw John Walker, 38, of Ceres, riding a bike without a head lamp on Don Pedro Road at Timberly Lane. Walker is on probation and searchable for drugs; police searched and found a small amount of methamphetamine in his clothing. He was arrested and charged with possession of meth.
