Jose Angel Cervantes, 31, of Ceres, was arrested on Jan. 29 after he fled from the scene of a domestic disturbance in the 900 Block of Big Creek Lane.

Police were dispatched at 2:46 p.m. and when they arrived, they saw Cervantes running from the house into the backyard before jumping through several neighboring backyards to flee. Cervantes was arrested by Officer Kao Saechoa for resisting/obstructing a police officer.

A record check revealed Cervantes also had several outstanding felony warrants for his arrest related to domestic violence, violation of a court order and auto theft.
