Driver, 66, arrested on warrants

A 66-year-old driver from Modesto was arrested in a Sunday morning traffic stop because of two warrants for his arrest.

Ceres Police Officer Christian Diaz was patrolling the area of Herndon Road near Steele Avenue at 9:22 a.m., when he stopped Michael Miller for vehicle code violations in a Chevy Impala. Officer Diaz learned that Miller had two felony warrants for his arrest related to drugs and evading in a vehicle. Miller was taken to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center in west Ceres and booked on the warrants.
