A 28-year-old Modesto man was arrested in Ceres last week for allegedly driving while alcohol impaired and for possessing a loaded gun in the car.

The arrest of Andres Moreno of Modesto was made during a 1:14 a.m. traffic stop on Wednesday, March 26.

Ceres Police Officer Jacob Henn was patrolling the area of Nadine Avenue and Herndon Road when he observed a black Dodge Durango being driven erratically, including traveling on the wrong side of the road. Officer Henn stopped Moreno and walked up to the car and noticed a gun in plain view and suspected that Moreno was intoxicated. Moreno was promptly removed from the car and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired and for unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
