A 26-year-old San Jose man went to the Stanislaus County Jail early Sunday morning with a charge of drunken driving.
Servando Chavez Marin was pulled over by Officer Chuck Lord-Huff at 2:31 a.m. in the area of Latimer Avenue and S. Ninth Street. Marin was pulled over for vehicle code violations in a blue-colored Honda Civic. In short time the officer suspected that Marin was intoxicated with the strong odor of alcohol coming out of the car. Following field sobriety tests and demonstrated them in a manner consistent with someone under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Marin was arrested for DUI, and later submitted a breath sample that was over twice the legal limit for an adult to drive. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
