A 30-year-old Modesto man was arrested for drinking and driving after he was involved in a car crash at Mitchell Road and Fowler Avenue on Thursday evening.

The crash occurred at 6:34 p.m. Officer Samuel Becerra made contact with Donnavan Johnson, one of the drivers involved in the collision and who appeared intoxicated. 

Officer Becerra conducted a DUI investigation and arrested Johnson. He was medically cleared at a local hospital and a blood sample was taken before he was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on DUI charges.
