A Tuesday evening, June 18 traffic accident at Morgan and Service roads led to the arrest of one of the drivers on a DUI charge.

The crash was reported to dispatchers at approximately 7:11 p.m. Ceres Police Officer Charles Lord-Huff investigated and noticed that driver Jerry Pumphery, 66, of Ceres appeared to be intoxicated.

After a DUI investigation confirmed his suspicions, Officer Lord-Huff arrested Pumphery and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
