Ceres Police Officer Charles Rushing was familiar with 38-year-old Ceres resident Clifford Harvey and knew about the felony arrest warrant issued for his arrest. So during a Wednesday evening, July 31 patrol in the area of Service and Mitchell roads, he spotted Harvey and made an arrest in front of the 7-Eleven.
During the 10:35 p.m. arrest, officers searched Harvey and found him to be carrying a small plastic bag containing an off-white substance determined to be fentanyl.
Harvey was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the felony warrant and a new charge of possession of a controlled substance.
