Four teenagers from the Fresno area who said they were in Ceres "for an adventure" were caught breaking into a home in the 800 block of Musick Avenue on Monday afternoon.
At 4 p.m. an alert neighbor called police to report suspicious people in a backyard and fearful of a break-in. Ceres patrol officers showed up along with Officer Jason Brock of the Auto Theft Task Force who happened to be in the area. The suspects began to scatter but Brock detained two suspects as they were jumping a fence. Ceres officers grabbed the other two teens, aged 13 and 15. One of the suspects was reported as a runaway.
All four were charged with committing a residential burglary.
