Friday disturbance call leads to arrest for DUI

Ceres Police were dispatched to a call regarding a disturbance in the 2500 block of Sixth Street on Friday evening which resulted in the arrest of a Ceres man who was allegedly driving while drunk.

At approximately 9:21 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Michael Ferreira responded to the call and made contact with 21-year-old Ceres resident Javier Herrera, one of the persons involved in the disturbance, who was found driving around. Officer Ferreira observed Herrera showing signs of intoxication, and conducted a DUI investigation.

Herrera was arrested for DUI and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
