A 26-year-old Hughson woman was arrested by a Ceres Police officer early Sunday with drugs in her lap as she fell asleep behind the wheel of her idling car.
At 8 a.m. Officer Eric Gallegos located a running vehicle parked in the driveway of a closed business in the 2400 block of Service Road. The officer recognized Driver Marisa Carrasco from prior contacts. She appeared to be asleep with a lighter and foil in her hand. When he rousted her she realized he was a police officer and she attempted to hide the items.
Carrasco is on active searchable probation and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
