A 36-year-old Keyes man spent Christmas Eve in jail after he reportedly stole something at the new Walmart Supercenter and was apprehended in a stolen car.

At 4:16 p.m., Sgt. Trenton Johnson arrived and using the initial caller’s report of the car and license plate of the vehicle he went to, located the suspect, Daniel Mitchell in the parking lot. Mitchell was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of stealing a vehicle and an outstanding arrest warrant.
