A 40-year-old Ceres man faces a number of drug charges relating to his arrest by Ceres Police Friday evening.

At 9:59 p.m., Officer Christian Diaz was patrolling the area of Hatch Road and Herndon Avenue when he spotted a gold-colored Honda Accord parked in front of the Dollar Tree and recognized Juan Ramos, 40, of Ceres, in the driver seat. Knowing that Ramos had an outstanding arrest warrant Officer Diaz placed him under arrest. While searching the car, Officer Diaz located several bindles containing suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia. The amounts and packaging were indicative of possession with the intent to sell. Ramos was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the warrants and new charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.
