A 48-year-old Ceres man who was wanted to stand trial for a prior robbery charge was picked up on a routine patrol on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 16.

At 1:47 p.m., Officer Josiah Mardirosian was patrolling the area of Whitmore Avenue and Mitchell Road and spotted Danny Watson – a man he knew to be wanted – sitting in the front passenger seat of a Chevrolet Suburban. Officer Mardirosian stopped to make arrest and book him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
