Local man nabbed for dealing fentanyl

A 33-year-old Ceres man on a bicycle was arrested Saturday evening for allegedly selling drugs after he was frisked and found with approximately 10 grams of fentanyl in his pocket.

Officer Charles Lord-Huff was on patrol at 11:31 p.m. when he stopped James Johnson, 33, of Ceres after seeing vehicle code violations behind businesses in the 1300 block of Hatch Road.

Johnson was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for possession of a controlled substance for sales and a probation violation.
