Loiterer jailed on warrant

A 50-year-old Modesto man who was found by police loitering behind a close convenience store on Whitmore Avenue was arrested on a felony warrant.

At 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, Ceres Police Officer Charles Lord-Huff was patrolling the parking lot of the Vineyard 76 gas station when he saw Jason Bell, 50, of Modesto, hanging around the back. The officer entered his information into the data base and found that Bell was sought for a felony charge. Officer Lord-Huff arrested Bell for the warrant and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
