Man, 29, on probation found with drugs, goes to jail

A man who was on probation and found with drugs and drug paraphernalia during a car Jan. 28 car stop was arrested and taken to jail.

At approximately 8:34 p.m., Officer Jacob Henn was patrolling the area of Hatch Road near Morgan Road when he saw the driver of a Mercedes ML 320 commit a violation of the vehicle code. Officer Henn pulled over Jose Torres, 29, of Modesto and learned that he is on probation. Officer Henn searched Torres and found a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine. A search of the car, yielded approximately 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine as well as several additional glass pipes.

Torres was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance for sales and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
