A 55-year-old Ceres was arrested on Thursday morning shortly after he allegedly jumped into a car in the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank on Fourth Street and sped off.

The car theft was reported at 9:04 a.m. The owner of the silver-colored Honda Odyssey went into the bank and when they exited, noticed the vehicle was gone.

Officer Charles Lord-Huff responded to the bank to take a report.  Officers began checking the area but a short time later the suspect drove back to the bank. Police were directed to the suspect, Alfredo Gonzalez Figueroa, 55, of Ceres, who was arrested. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.
