A 37-year-old Ceres man was arrested when he was stopped while driving a car that reportedly belonged to his girlfriend but kept it so long it was reported as stolen.
An officer spotted Brad Wilson driving the Honda Accord at 9:16 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at Moffet and Service roads. The Honda did not have any license plates so the driver was pulled over at the Chevron station at Mitchell and Service roads. Wilson told the officer he did not have a license nor the registration. When the officer ran the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and it came back as reported stolen from a Ceres address. Wilson and a female passenger were held at gunpoint until other officers arrived. He later said the car belonged to his girlfriend and that he "borrowed it" and he kept it for two weeks so she reported it stolen.
Wilson was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, driving without a license and probation violation.
