A 29-year-old Ceres man with outstanding warrants for his arrest was picked up Wednesday morning, Feb. 26 by a Ceres Police officer who was familiar with his case.
At approximately 10:51 a.m., Officer Christian Diaz was patrolling the 3000 block of Ninth Street when he recognized Argenis Perez, 29, of Ceres standing in front of a residence. Officer Diaz knew about the warrants and moved in to make an arrest.
The warrants related to a prior felony case for evading police in a vehicle and auto theft. Perez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
