A 19-year-old Modesto man faces two charges following his Fourth of July decision to flee from the Ceres Police officer stopping him for reckless driving.
Jesse Holt was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of felony evading a police officer and resisting arrest.
The incident started at 7:49 p.m. when Officer Chuck Lordhuff observed a silver-colored Infiniti being driven recklessly in the area of Moffett Road and Garrison Street. When the officer attempted to stop the car, Holt accelerated and a police pursuit began. A short while later, Holt lost control and ran into a fence in the residential area of the 2000 block of Fifth Street. Holt tried to run from the officer but was quickly apprehended.
