A 29-year-old Modesto man was arrested during a Tuesday, Nov. 26 traffic stop due to the vehicle he was driving being stolen.
At 7:32 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Samuel Garcia was patrolling the area of Hatch and Crows Landing roads when he observed a black-colored Chevrolet Tahoe reported as stolen. Officer Garcia followed the SUV and when additional officers arrived a high-risk traffic stop was conducted in the 1800 block of Eureka Avenue. Driver Juan Garcia, 29, of Modesto was called out of the vehicle and arrested.
He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and auto theft.
