A routine patrol on Wednesday morning, Feb. 26 led to a 59-year-old Modesto man with a warrant being arrested for auto theft.

Rodney Tomlin, 59, of Modesto was spotted by Ceres Officer Christian Diaz on the Hatch Road freeway overpass at approximately 8:17 a.m. He was familiar with Tomlin and his outstanding felony arrest warrant which was for possession of a stolen vehicle and made the arrest.

Tomlin was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
