A report of a man carrying a firearm while walking in the area of Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road ended in his arrest for lying to police about his name.

Police approached Allen Hodge, 54, of Modesto at around 8:01 p.m. on Thursday and found he was carrying a pellet gun, not a real firearm. But after he falsely identified himself to the officers, he was arrested and booked.
