Police seek clues on Nov. 12 car arson fire

Ceres Police investigators believe that a fire that consumed a car on Tuesday evening, Nov. 12 was ignited by an arsonist and they’re hoping the public can provide some clues.

The fire took place near the intersection of Whitmore Avenue and Della Drive and was reported to authorities at 6:36 p.m.

Ceres Police Officers were first on scene and found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Modesto firefighters quickly responded and extinguished the fire. 

Ceres Police Department, in conjunction with the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Regional Fire Investigation Unit, is investigating the incident as a possible arson. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the fire or has relevant information to come forward. Residents and business owners in the area are encouraged to review any security camera footage that may assist in the investigation.
