A 41-year-old Riverbank man was arrested in Ceres on Saturday evening after blowing through a stop sign in front of an officer and found with drugs in the car.
At 5:26 p.m. Officer Christian Izquierdo saw Bobby Lee Ford failed to stop his Chevy Lumina at a stop sign at Moffett and Fowler roads and made a stop on him. Ford lied about his identity, giving his brother’s name instead of his own. Ford was then arrested for giving a false ID. His car was searched which yielded a large amount of marijuana. Hidden in Ford’s clothing was a case containing five separate bags containing suspected methamphetamine.
Ford faces charges of impersonating another person, possession of illegal drugs for sale and transporting illegal drugs.
