Rural car stop yields arrest for woman with drugs, other with warrant

Two Patterson women in a Tuesday evening, Feb. 6 car stop were arrested by Ceres Police – one for a warrant and the other for drug possession.

Officer Charles Lord-Huff was patrolling the area of Ustick and Service roads at 10:47 p.m. when he stopped a white Acura TL for vehicle code violations. He learned that passenger Carissa Barreras, 41, had a misdemeanor warrant and a felony warrant for her arrest. The driver, Debra Weber, 55, was driving on a suspended license and in possession of a glass narcotics pipe along with a baggy containing over 13 grams of a white crystalline substance suspect of being methamphetamine.

Weber was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession or drug paraphernalia.

Barreras was jailed for the warrants.
