Macrin Madrigal Farias

A 28-year-old San Jose man driving in Ceres was arrested early Saturday after he was thought to be intoxicated.

At approximately 1:54 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Michael Ferreira was patrolling the area of Sixth Street near Lawrence Street when he stopped Macrin Madrigal Farias, 28, of San Jose for committing vehicle code violations in his Chevy Camaro. Officer Ferreira immediately suspected Farias was under the influence of alcohol. After he performed a series of field sobriety tests consistent with being intoxicated, he was arrested. Breath samples showed that he had a blood alcohol content that was over twice the legal limit to drive. Farias was booked for DUI into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
