A 24-year-old Ceres woman was arrested Thursday morning, Nov. 21 after allegedly using a wine bottle to strike another woman in the chin during a fight that stemmed from a social medial post.

Ceres Police Officer Adam Hall was dispatched to a home in the 1700 block of Central Avenue at 8:21 a.m. over reports of two women in an altercation that turned physical when one took offense to the other posting about them on social media. Destiny Martin, 24, of Ceres, allegedly grabbed a bottle of wine by the neck and swung it at her 36-year-old housemate, striking her in the face.

Martin was arrested and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
