A 27-year-old Ceres man was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly assaulting his mother during an argument and then fighting the officers arresting him.
At 4:25 p.m. several officers were sent to the 2500 block of Sixth Street for a report of a physical fight between a mother and adult son. Officers found the mother had been pushed out of an RV and sustained minor injuries. During the investigation it was determined that her son, Jason Moreno, 27, had battered his mom. Officers attempted to arrest Moreno for the battery but he would not cooperate so they used a stun gun to subdue him and take him into custody. Moreno was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center where he faces charges of battery and resisting arrest.
