Stockton man picked up on auto theft

A 54-year-old man from Stockton was arrested in Modesto on Wednesday evening, Nov. 27 on a warrant to stand charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.

At 11:38 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Juan Ramos was rolling in the area of Ninth and B streets at the south end of downtown Modesto when he stopped the driver of a white Ford Tempo for vehicle code violations. Officer Ramos got the drivers’ license of Bruno Tostado, 54, of Stockton and through a records check learned that he was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Tostado was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
