A 34-year-old man from Newman riding a bicycle in Ceres was stopped Saturday evening and found with stolen mail and credit, debit and EBT cards.

At 6:27 p.m., Officer Jacob Henn was patrolling the area of Whitmore Avenue near Herndon Road when he stopped Emmanuel Dunerway for vehicle code violations on a bicycle. A search of Dunerway turned up a large trash bag containing approximately 51 pieces of mail addressed to over 20 individuals. The mail included personal bills, pay stubs, insurance information and other sensitive documents. Additionally, Dunerway possessed 13 credit, debit and EBT cards in various names, none belonging to him.

Dunerway was arrested for possession of the personal identifying information of 10 or more individuals with the intent to defraud and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
