When Officer Freddie Ortiz pulled over the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser for vehicle code violations on Wednesday afternoon, August 2, he would soon learn that he was wanted for a burglary and in possession of drugs.

Officer Ortiz made the stop on Jerin Fowler, 36, of Modesto at 12:46 p.m. in the 1400 block of Mitchell Road. Fowler was arrested and a search of the vehicle turned up a white crystalline substance suspected of being methamphetamine.

Fowler was later booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the felony warrant along with possession of a controlled substance.
