A 34-year-old woman from Turlock was arrested Wednesday evening, Oct. 11 when a Ceres Police officer caught her driving a stolen vehicle.

At 10:36 p.m., Officer Nick Welsh was on patrol in the area of Central and Whitmore avenues when he spotted a gold-colored Honda Odyssey that he had prior knowledge of being a stolen vehicle. Officer Welsh followed the car until additional backup arrived and stopped the it in the area of Hackett Road and Harold Street.

Driver Stephanie Minyard, 34, of Turlock was arrested for auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. She was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
