Two jailed separately on felony warrants

Two different traffic stops one night apart sent drivers to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on felony arrest warrants.

The first arrest came at 11:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, when Officer Jacob Valenzuela was on patrol in the area of Central Avenue and Magnolia Street and stopped a colored BMW sedan for vehicle code violations. A records check revealed driver Michael Saldivar, 46, of Ceres, had a felony warrant for his arrest.

The second arrest came the following night at 11:26 p.m. when Officer Kevin Roseen was patrolling the area of Central Avenue and Mill Creek Drive and stopped a Mercedes SL500 for vehicle code violations. Driver Daniel Castaneda, 23, of Modesto had a felony warrant for his arrest.
